Omaha's Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Festival was from 1-8:30 p.m. on June 22, 2002, with the GLBT Pride Parade beginning at 2 p.m. The parade route began at 16th and Jones Street, returning to 15th and Jackson Street for the street fesitval.

Deborah Cooper from C+C Music Factory was the headliner for entertainment. Speakers and special guests included Troy Haasis, Mr. Gay Pride Nebraska 2001; John Carroll, alumnus of television show "Survivor"; D. Moritz, co-chair of GLSEN Omaha; Patrick McNamara, Omaha Hate Crimes Coordinator; and Jenny Heineman, co-founder of Millard North's Gay Straight Alliance.

Rainbow Celebrations, a local non-profit organization, was the organizer of this year's Pride.
