Omaha's Gay Pride Week took place from June 13-June 28, 1987. The Gay and Lesbian Pride Parade was at 7:30 p.m. on June 27, 1987. The parade route began at 18th and Saint Mary's Avenue, marched east on Jackson Street to 13th, north to 13th and Howard Street, then west on Howard Street back to the starting point.

A Pride Rally was held on June 28, 1987, at Turner Park in Omaha (31st and Farnam Streets). The keynote speaker for the rally was Rosemarie Wallace, a national co-moderator of Presbyterians for Lesbian/Gay Concerns (PLGC).

Lincoln's only Gay Pride event was a picnic on June 20, 1987, in Antelope Park.
