Omaha's Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Festival was at 2 p.m. on June 22, 1997, at Heartland of America Park (800 Douglas Street), with the GLBT Pride Parade beginning at 3 p.m. The year's theme was "Tradition of Diversity." The parade route began at 8th and Farnam Street, proceeded west to 14th Street, south to Howard Street, east to 10th Street, north to Douglas Street, then east to 8th and Douglas.
